In January 2024, Cambridge Sensoriis and the BCN Drone Center signed a collaboration agreement. Both parties are very excited about this collaboration as it provides an opportunity to showcase Sensoriis’ radar capabilities to a wider European audience, allowing UAS companies to test such technologies on their own UAV platforms in a safe, controlled, and secure environment.
The first initiative will be the integration of our ARC-LandingTM technology onto a UAV, for precision automated landings on both static and moving platforms. Later in 2024, we will be trialling our RadarAwareTM obstacle detection technology.
The BCN Drone Center, with more than 20 years’ experience in the UAS civil sector, offers a one-stop shop service to deploy to market any UAS project or idea, from its conception to its final commercial implementation.
Located on a 50km2 test site in Moia, Barcelona, BCN Drone Center also has significant expertise in the following:
- feasibility and viability studies,
- research and development projects,
- technical and legal market consultancy,
- processing operational authorizations,
- drone events such as training programmes and workshops,
- and the full testing, evaluation, and certification pipeline.
BCN Drone Center have also been granted the first LUC (Light UAS operator Certificate) in Spain, which allows them to rapidly deploy BVLOS operations in all Europe without the typical administration procedures burden.
As a valued collaborator with BCN Drone Center, we would like to highlight their 10th Anniversary celebration which they will be hosting on 7th June 2024. This is a perfect opportunity for all those wanting to learn more about the facilities and meet the team behind this world-class facility. You will also have the chance to network with the Sensoriis team and other like-minded collaborators.
Please contact BCN Drone Center directly for more information and to register your place.
